Training
The ASRSQ provides training programs intended for professional practitioners, volunteers, and managers. This training is recognized by both the federal and provincial governments and provides an opportunity for practitioners and ordinary citizens to acquire the tools that will increase their understanding and the skills necessary to deal with offenders in settings other than prisons.
Coordination and development
- Coordinates working committees regarding operational issues
- Coordinates efforts to develop programs and services adapted to the needs of adult offenders and the communities they live in
Research
The ASRSQ supervises and participates in social research projects on issues such as domestic violence, sexual offences, electronic monitoring and many more.
